About the event
Picking up where we left off at our last "Geopolitics for Boards" roundtable in September 2024 and our in person event in June 2025, the panellists will explore the yellow and red flags for EM boards to assess, out of a number of possible scenarios in 2026.
2024 saw half the global population go to the polls to choose new leaders. In 2025 many of the central scenarios discussed in previous editions came to pass, with a more isolationist America pivoting away from Europe and toward the Pacific. The new order appearing more transactional, the US has brandished trade and the US Dollar as tools to attain geopolitical and economic goals, with allies and adversaries equally enduring the consequences.
EM companies have seen tariffs stunting world trade, lingering doubts about investment in supply chains on the back of potential US tariffs and sanctions, and a backlash against strict global sustainability protocols among various factors.
There is also a different world view emerging from China, up to this point the factory of the world, promoting itself as an alternative to the US/Western framework.
Please join us in this unique virtual event to hear from our expert panellists how companies in EM may be impacted by geopolitics.
We welcome questions in advance from our participants.
